A newsreel from the 1940s depicts the Lima festival of San Juan de los Amancaes, a time when Lima revives one of its most vibrant celebrations. The film features everything from the marinera dance to colorful characters such as veiled women and street vendors, among others. It also shows the so-called "promenade of the fools" on the way to the Amancaes, where a group of horsemen rides alongside cars toward the pampa to attend the festivities.
