All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989) sees Charlie, a casino-owning canine, murdered by rival Carface, only to find himself in the afterlife. Convinced to return to the earthly realm with the knowledge that it damns his soul, Charlie enlists the aid of his old partner, Itchy, to plot vengeance. His plans are complicated by the appearance of an orphan girl who can communicate with animals, providing Charlie with vital information about the races. Yet, plagued by visions of Hell’s torments, Charlie must prove his worth to regain entry to Heaven, navigating the moral complexities of his earthly ambitions.
