Battlefield Earth

In the year 3000, Earth lies ravaged and desolate under the iron grip of the Psychlos, a race of rapacious extraterrestrials driven by an insatiable hunger for profit. The Psychlos, led by the ruthless Terl, have reduced humanity to a primitive, enslaved state, mining Earth's resources with utter disregard for human life. Amid this dystopian wasteland, Tyler emerges as a reluctant hero, tasked with leading a desperate resistance against the oppressive alien regime. John Travolta's earnest, if misplaced, performance fails to redeem a narrative hamstrung by wooden dialogue and a tone that oscillates awkwardly between earnest sci-fi and unintentional comedy.
