“The true story of a real fake.”
Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can" is a slick, kinetic portrait of con artist Frank Abagnale Jr., who, before the age of 19, impersonated a Pan Am pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer, forging cheques worth millions. FBI agent Carl Hanratty doggedly pursues Abagnale, yet the younger man's charm and ingenuity keep him perpetually one step ahead, playing cat and mouse across continents and identities. The film's high-wire act balances the tension of a chase with the allure of youthful rebellion, culminating in a dance of deception and determination.
