Crash

In the wake of September 11, Crash unfolds a 36-hour portrait of Los Angeles where lives collide in a web of racial and cultural tension. A Brentwood housewife and her district attorney husband, a Persian shopkeeper, two cops, a pair of carjackers, and a Korean couple find their paths entangled in a series of collisions that expose the city's racial fault lines. Director Paul Haggis weaves together these disparate threads to critique the pervasive fear and prejudice that simmer beneath the surface of everyday interactions.
