Dogtooth

Dogtooth (2009) isolates three siblings within a sealed family compound where reality is a construct of their parents' devising. An endless loop of homemade tapes redefines the world outside as alien and dangerous, with 'the sea' becoming an armchair and 'zombies' yellow flowers. The parents' control is absolute, enforced through a manufactured brother's exile and the ever-present threat of punishment, transforming innocence into a prison of twisted truths.
