Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
“When machines learn to feel, who decides what is human...”
In "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence," cyborg detective Batou investigates a string of murders perpetrated by malfunctioning gynoids, doll-like cyborgs programmed to protect their manufacturer's software by killing and self-destructing. Among the victims, Batou uncovers a lingering audio file: a desperate plea for help. Director Mamoru Oshii's neon-noir cyberpunk world remains a labyrinth of artificial intelligence and human consciousness, where the line between organic and mechanical blurs further, inviting viewers to question the essence of self and sentience.
