The hanging was the best show in town. But they made two mistakes. They hung the wrong man and they didn't finish the job!

Hang 'em High (1968) casts Gregory Peck as Marshall Jed Cooper, a man resurrected from a near-death lynching and driven by a vow of vengeance against his tormentors. As he reprises his role as a lawman, Cooper methodically hunts down the nine individuals responsible, administering swift justice in a manner as cool and calculated as it is morally ambiguous. Director Sam Peckinpah's film is a darkly ironic Western, where the line between vigilante and avenger blurs in a landscape of retribution and redemption.
