Kung Fu Jungle

Kung Fu Jungle (2014) casts a martial arts instructor, wrongfully incarcerated for an accidental killing, into a precarious alliance with law enforcement. As a spree killer preys on masters of the discipline, the incarcerated instructor negotiates freedom for his expertise. Director Kim Myung-gon weaves a taut, stylistic web of violence and redemption, where the choreographed brutality of kung fu confronts the stark realities of a prison cell and the shadowy corridors of justice.
