Madagascar

In "Madagascar" (2005), four zoo-dwelling friends—lion Alex, zebra Marty, giraffe Melman, and hippo Gloria—escape the confines of Central Park Zoo and find themselves adrift in the vast Atlantic, eventually beaching on the chaotic shores of Madagascar. Their initial fantasies of freedom dissolve into the harsh realities of the wild, where they must navigate unfamiliar terrain and encounter a cast of eccentric native inhabitants. Through slapstick adventures and existential crises, the quartet grapples with the nature of captivity and freedom.
