Pasonki

A film crew from Lima accompanies two Asháninka indigenous people from the urban community of Marankiari (25 kilometers from La Merced in the Junín region) to Shimuyani, a rural Asháninka community in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, accessible only after a ten-hour hike along difficult trails. In Shimuyani, we share their way of life for a few days, which includes gathering, harvesting, and fishing.
