Risky Business

In Paul Brickman’s “Risky Business,” 17-year-old Joel Goodson, a diligent high school student about to enter college, is left alone in the affluent Chicago suburbs with his parents’ Porsche. Bereft of adult supervision, Joel’s impeccable behavior unravels as he opts for a night of wild indulgence. An ill-fated encounter with the sports car compels Joel to devise a dubious income-generating scheme, transforming the idyllic suburban setting into a stage for youthful rebellion and moral ambiguity.
