“Part man, part machine, all cop.”
Paul Verhoeven's 1987 sci-fi action film, "RoboCop," is set in a dystopian Detroit where the city's future is outsourced to the ruthless Omni Consumer Products. When street cop Alex Murphy is brutally murdered, his shattered remains are repurposed by OCP into their experimental RoboCop, a cyborg law enforcer. As RoboCop navigates the city's corrupt underbelly, he begins to uncover the truth about his own existence and the malevolent intentions of his creators, leading him to turn against the corporation that created him.
