The Housemaid

In Lee Chang-dong’s 2010 remake of the classic Korean melodrama, Eun-yi, a young woman hired as a maid in a wealthy family’s home, finds herself ensnared in a web of sexual manipulation and social stratification. As the businessman’s seduction intensifies, Eun-yi’s compliance becomes a matter of survival rather than choice.
