“He dared to dream, he dared to love. This is the tale of a man… and a monster.”
In Disney's animated adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel, Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame, yearns to escape the confines of his tower. Judge Claude Frollo, the oppressive minister of justice, keeps him imprisoned, but Quasimodo's first foray into Paris's streets brings him face-to-face with Esmeralda, a spirited Romani woman defying Frollo's tyranny. Their unlikely bond unfolds against a backdrop of religious fanaticism and social injustice, where love and courage challenge the dark forces that threaten the city's peace.
