The Lone Ranger

In "The Lone Ranger" (2013), a lone Texas Ranger survives a gang ambush led by the ruthless Butch Cavendish, only to be rescued and nursed back to health by the Native American Tonto. Dressed in a distinctive mask and mounted on a white stallion named Silver, the Ranger, now known only as the Lone Ranger, joins forces with Tonto to pursue justice against Cavendish and other outlaws. The film reimagines the legendary hero as a figure of complex moral ambiguity, set against a sprawling, gritty landscape of 19th-century Texas.
