Ten years after the summer of '62, the diamond where the original Sandlot gang roamed now hosts a new generation of players. As they settle into the dugout, these nine young ballplayers encounter a legend reborn: a monstrous creature, dubbed 'The Great Fear,' said to dwell in the backyard of the enigmatic Mr. Mertle.
