This Means War

This Means War (2012) pits two CIA operatives in a testosterone-fuelled rivalry when they both date the same woman. Frenemies in the field, they deploy military tactics and gadgets in a war of wits and womanly affection, blending action sequences with romantic comedy tropes. Director McG ups the ante with flashy visuals and a script that prioritizes spectacle over substance, making for a lighthearted, albeit predictable, romp through the espionage genre.
