Virgin Territory

Virgin Territory transplants Boccaccio’s Decameron to a plague-ravaged Tuscany, where ten young Florentines seek refuge. Instead of moralistic tales, they indulge in erotic escapades, ribald dialogue, romantic entanglements, and swashbuckling sword fights. The film’s vibrant cast of characters includes randy nuns, Saracen pirates, and even a provocative cow, all contributing to a raucous, ribald commentary on desire and societal norms in a world turned upside down by disease and decay.
