When Evil Lurks

When Pedro and Jimi confront a demonic infestation in a neighboring farmhouse, their hasty and ill-conceived exorcism backfires spectacularly, unleashing a wave of possessions throughout their rural community. The film charts the brothers' descent into chaos as they struggle to contain the malevolent force they inadvertently unleashed, their bungled attempts at purification only serving to exacerbate the crisis. Director Amy Lai's unsettling portrait of rural paranoia and familial strife is a grim reminder of the perils of hubris in the face of the unknown.
