Chabot Winter Big Band Jazz Concert

The Chabot College Music Department presented its annual winter celebration, bringing an energetic night of big band jazz and holiday spirit to the East Bay. The evening showcased the collegiate talent of the Chabot College Jazz Ensemble, performing complex, hard-swinging arrangements alongside two featured guest singers: Ellona Santiago: A powerhouse Filipino-American vocalist from San Lorenzo, California. Best known for placing 6th overall on Season 3 of The X Factor USA (mentored by Demi Lovato), Santiago brought her dynamic vocal range and soulful stage presence to front the big band. April Absynth: A versatile vocalist, recording artist, and actress widely recognized for her series-regular role as Jacque on the TV series Blindspotting and her leading theatrical work.
