“They're going to save the world... as long as they're home for dinner.”
Zoom (2006) presents a faded hero, Jack Shepard, an overweight auto mechanic, dragged from civilian life to train a team of children with extraordinary abilities. This ragtag group, assembled by a government in crisis, must become the next generation of superheroes to fend off impending doom. Director Peter Svatek's film casts a critical eye on the generational transfer of responsibility and the burden of legacy, all set against the mundane backdrop of an ordinary mechanic's life turned extraordinary.
