Ser Arthur Dayne, called the Sword of the Morning, is a knight of House Dayne of Starfall who wields the ancestral greatsword Dawn and serves in the Kingsguard of King Aerys II Targaryen. Regarded by many as the greatest knight who ever lived, he defeats the Smiling Knight and knights a young Jaime Lannister.
