Balerion, known as the Black Dread, is the greatest dragon of House Targaryen and the mount of Aegon the Conqueror during Aegon's Conquest. He burned and half-ruined Harrenhal, and his fiery breath forged the Iron Throne from the swords of Aegon's defeated enemies.
