The dying rider is a minor character in the first season of HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a man-at-arms of House Frey among the rivermen.
Fatally injured at the Battle of the Redgrass Field, he is found pinned beneath a dead horse by the young Duncan the Tall and his companion Rafe as they loot the battlefield. Despite their attempts to free him in hopes of a ransom, he dies of his wounds.
