Ser Gerold Royce is a knight of House Royce of the Vale who appears in the first season of House of the Dragon, set during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen. He is a cousin of Rhea Royce, the estranged first wife of Daemon Targaryen.
Stoic and honorable, Gerold suspects Daemon of engineering Rhea's fatal riding accident and confronts him at the wedding feast of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon, warning that even Targaryens answer for their crimes in the Vale.
