Prince Valarr Targaryen was the son and heir of Prince Baelor Targaryen and Lady Jena Dondarrion, appearing in the first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. As a member of House Targaryen he stood second in line to the Iron Throne, and became heir following his father's death.
At the tourney at Ashford Meadow, Valarr rode in the opening joust and became a champion after defeating Abelar Hightower. He attended his father's funeral alongside his family, including his uncle Maekar and cousin Aerion, and spoke with Ser Duncan the Tall in his grief.
