Xaro Xhoan Daxos is a wealthy merchant prince of Qarth in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Born on the Summer Isles and a member of the ruling council known as the Thirteen, he presented himself as the richest man in the city and offered Daenerys Targaryen his fortune and a marriage alliance to fund an invasion of Westeros.
His generosity masked ruthless ambition: he conspired with the warlock Pyat Pree to seize power and declare himself King of Qarth, only for his fabled treasure vault to be revealed as empty.
