Madame Olympe Maxime is a half-giant witch and the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, introduced in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She travels with her students in a powder-blue carriage drawn by twelve winged Abraxan horses of her own breeding, and serves as one of the judges of the Triwizard Tournament held at Hogwarts.
Elegant and fiercely proud, Maxime keeps her giant heritage hidden out of fear of prejudice. During her stay at Hogwarts she forms a close bond with Rubeus Hagrid, a fellow half-giant, and later accompanies him as an envoy to the giant colonies on Albus Dumbledore's behalf.
