Erestor is an Elf of Rivendell and a chief counsellor of Elrond's household. He is present at the Council of Elrond, where the fate of the One Ring is debated, and after the War of the Ring he rides in the party that escorts Arwen to Minas Tirith for her wedding to Aragorn. He appears among the characters of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
