Galion is a Wood-elf who serves as butler to King Thranduil in the Woodland Realm of northern Mirkwood, charged with sending the king's empty wine barrels down the Forest River. Fond of drink, he falls asleep after sampling Dorwinion wine and so unwittingly allows the captured Dwarves to escape; he appears in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
