Halbrand is the guise adopted by the Dark Lord Sauron in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Posing as a man fleeing the war-torn Southlands, he is rescued adrift at sea by Galadriel and carried to Númenor, where he is briefly imprisoned before taking up work as a smith.
Presented for a time as the rightful King of the Southlands, Halbrand accompanies the Númenórean expedition to Middle-earth and, at Eregion, guides Celebrimbor toward the craft that leads to the forging of the Rings of Power. After Galadriel exposes his true identity, he flees and later re-emerges in the fairer form of Annatar, the Lord of Gifts. The role is portrayed by Charlie Vickers.
