Mauhur is an Uruk-hai of Isengard active during the War of the Ring in the late Third Age. In Peter Jackson's The Two Towers he is a captain of Saruman's band escorting the captive hobbits Merry and Pippin, and is slain with the other Uruks by Eomer's Rohirrim at the edge of Fangorn. The character also appears in Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated film and in Tolkien's original novel.
