Ali Bakhakh

Ali Bakhakh is a filmmaker and creative entrepreneur with roots in Iraq and Scotland. Raised in a challenging environment, Ali discovered his passion for creativity at an early age, using video creation as both a pastime and an escape. At just nine years old, he began creating simple videos, capturing moments with his friends.

Ali’s passion for filmmaking took a more serious turn, when a mentor recognized his potential and invited him to work on a professional film set as a second assistant camera (AC). This experience sparked a deeper love for the craft and solidified his ambition to pursue filmmaking. From that point forward, Ali focused on honing his skills, developing a natural talent for editing before expanding into directing and leading projects.

Ali’s leadership instincts led him to establish DSCVR, a media production company which led him to working with companies such as the UFC and ONE Championship. While his professional work thrives under DSCVR, Ali also pursues personal projects, such as directing a 22-person crew for a Coronation Street remake.
