Ayman El Bandki

Ayman El Bandki — better known as Bondoki — is a Marrakech-based indie filmmaker who shoots, directs, and edits his own projects from the ground up. Entirely self-taught, he picked up a Nikon D7000 at 17 and taught himself editing through cracked software and sheer stubbornness. No industry connections. Just a camera and a city full of stories.

Five years into his photography journey, Bondoki made the leap to filmmaking with a clear mission: show Marrakech the way he sees it. Not the postcard version, not the tourist gaze — his own version of the city. The medina as it actually feels. The light, the noise, the quiet corners that visitors never find.
