Brett Cullen

Brett Cullen, born in Houston in 1956, is a seasoned actor with a résumé spanning television and film, from his role as Dan Fixx in "Falcon Crest" to Marshal Sam Cain in "The Young Riders." His portrayal of Ray Sullivan in "The West Wing" and his recurring role as Tim Riggins's estranged father in "Friday Night Lights" showcased his dramatic range. A University of Houston alumnus, Cullen credits mentor Cecil Pickett for his early success, alongside fellow alumni Dennis Quaid and others. His versatility has seen him play both fictional and real-life characters, from astronauts in "Apollo 13" to appearances in "The Incredible Hulk" and "Ghost Whisperer." Off-screen, Cullen advocates for Houston residents through his role as spokesman for Houston Works.
