Danny Lau Dan

Born in Shanghai in 1945, Liu Tan moved to Hong Kong as a child and, after a stint in Cathay Film Organisation's actor training program, signed with the studio upon graduation in 1968. Initially in supporting roles, Liu's breakthrough came in 1970 with "An Apple A Day." He then joined Shaw Brothers, where he appeared in films like "The Devil's Mirror" and "The Warlord" before leaving in 1972 to focus on voice dubbing. A decade later, Liu joined TVB, finding acclaim as a villain in "The Bund," solidifying his status as one of Hong Kong's most recognizable faces over the following two decades.
