David Bradley

Born in 1953 to a miner and seamstress in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, David Bradley rose to prominence as Billy Casper in Ken Loach’s 1969 film Kes, securing the role over thousands of contenders. After changing his name to Dai Bradley due to a name clash, he navigated early television success with series like The Flaxton Boys and The Jensen Code. A shift to films in the late 1970s saw roles in All Quiet on the Western Front and Zulu Dawn, before a hiatus to pursue writing. Re-emerging in recent years, Bradley has appeared in Hummingbird and The Dumping Ground, reclaiming his original stage name.
