David Lam Wai

David Lam Wai, a native of Taiwan, emerged from the Shaw Brothers studio system in the early 1980s, initially in bit parts before claiming the lead in Johnny Mak’s seminal “Long Arm of the Law” in 1984. As the decade progressed, Lam solidified his status as a prominent figure in Hong Kong cinema, starring in a series of crime, action, and gangster films that characterized the region’s cinematic landscape through the 1980s and 1990s.
