Appeared in the play "Silver Thread" at the Egan Theatre in Los Angeles, and in "The Emperor's Clothes" at the Belmont Theatre in Los Angeles.
He played the pipe organ, piano, marimba, bag pipes, accordion, drums, saxophone and other wind instruments. Had appeared in 75 films by 1934.
