Donald Gibb

Donald Gibb, towering at 6 ft-4 in, cast a memorable shadow in Hollywood, most infamously as the brawny, boneheaded Ogre in the "Revenge of the Nerds" series. A California native who excelled in sports, Gibb balanced a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers before pivoting to acting. His career flourished with uncredited roles in "Stripes" and "Conan the Barbarian," segueing into martial arts films like "Bloodsport." Beyond his brutish characters, Gibb starred in the HBO sitcom "1st & Ten" as the menacing linebacker Leslie "Dr. Death" Krunchner and made appearances in popular TV series such as "Quantum Leap" and "MacGyver." Later, he leveraged his Ogre persona to market beer for a Chicago brewery and lent his imposing presence to a series of commercial spoofs as a pillaging menace.
