Elliot Ngok Wah, alias Yueh Hua, emerged from the neon-drenched streets of Shanghai to become a pivotal figure in Hong Kong cinema, his career spanning Shaw Brothers Studio and TVB. With a remarkable capacity for chameleonic transformations, Ngok Wah donned as many masks as the roles he inhabited: from bumbling inebriates to stoic martial arts adepts, his range spoke volumes of his talent.
