Ewen Bremner

Ewen Bremner, born in Edinburgh in 1972, is a Scottish actor with a career defined by his roles in cult classics and gritty dramas. From his debut in Charles Gormley's "Heavenly Pursuits" as a young Glasgow schoolboy to his breakout role as Spud in Danny Boyle's "Trainspotting," Bremner has carved out a niche playing characters on the fringes of society. His portrayal of Daniel "Spud" Murphy in both the original and sequel to "Trainspotting" remains his most iconic, alongside his turn as the street thug Mullet in Guy Ritchie's "Snatch." Bremner has also ventured into lead roles in stage adaptations and Hollywood blockbusters, while maintaining a quieter presence behind the camera with his 2017 short film "No Song to Sing.
