Gianna Palmer

Gianna “Gigi” Palmer is a Pittsburgh-based filmmaker and student at the University of Pittsburgh, pursuing a degree in Film and Media Studies with a focus on production. Her work explores identity, memory, and place, often drawing from personal and regional narratives. Her experimental documentary Baptized in Black & Gold examines Pittsburgh Steelers fandom as a form of modern civic ritual, blending archival media with observational storytelling. Palmer is particularly interested in documentary filmmaking, editing, and visual storytelling rooted in authenticity.
