Gillian Jacobs

Gillian Jacobs, born in Pittsburgh in 1982, is an American actress celebrated for her portrayal of Britta Perry in the NBC comedy Community. Raised in Mt. Lebanon, the daughter of an investment banker and a university director, Jacobs descends from a lineage that includes the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery founders. She began acting at eight, performing with Pittsburgh Public Theater and competing in Shakespeare Monologue Contests, which led to her role as Titania. After high school, Jacobs moved to New York to study at Juilliard, graduating in 2004, and has since carved a career in film, theatre, and television.
