Giuliano Gemma

Giuliano Gemma, born in Rome in 1938, ascended from stuntman to actor, largely through Duccio Tessari’s patronage, starring in iconic Spaghetti Westerns like 'A Pistol for Ringo' and 'The Return of Ringo.' His portrayal of the title character in Michele Lupo's 'Arizona Colt' solidified his status as a genre icon. Beyond Westerns, Gemma ventured into art-house cinema with a David di Donatello-winning performance in 'The Desert of the Tartars.' His career spanned six decades, transitioning from silver to small screens, and even into sculpture, until his untimely death in a 2013 car accident near Rome.
