Goran Višnjić

Goran Višnjić, born in Sibenik, Croatia, in 1972, is a versatile actor whose career spans American and British television and film. After local theater performances and a breakthrough as Hamlet in the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, earning him national accolades, Višnjić moved to the United States, where he starred in "Welcome to Sarajevo" and gained international recognition for his role as Dr. Luka Kovač on ER. His subsequent appearances include Erik the Red in Vikings: Valhalla and Dragan Armansky in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Off-screen, Višnjić enjoys fencing and diving, and lives in Los Angeles with his family.
