My name is Hayden Wallace, and I am an award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer from Carlisle, Cumbria. Over the past couple of years, filmmaking has become a huge part of my life, and it is something I hope to turn into a full-time career in the future. Growing up, I always enjoyed watching films, but I never really thought about how they were made. It wasn’t until 2024 that I started looking into filmmaking properly and became really interested in everything that goes on behind the camera. In 2024, I made a film with my team for the first time, and that’s when I realised this was something I genuinely loved doing. One of my biggest achievements so far is creating my short film A Case Full of Dreams. I wrote, directed, shot, and edited the film myself, and it went on to win three international awards. It won Best Young Filmmaker at the Cannes World Film Festival Remember the Future, as well as an Award of Excellence for Cinematography and a Special Mention at the Best Shorts Competition in the United States. Winning these awards gave me a lot more confidence in my work and motivated me to keep improving.
