Hayley Mills

Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Mills, born in 1946 to Sir John Mills and Mary Hayley Bell, launched her acting career as a child, quickly earning acclaim. Her breakout role in Tiger Bay (1959) netted her the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer, followed by the Academy Juvenile Award and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Pollyanna (1960). Mills starred in six Disney films, including her dual role as twins in The Parent Trap (1961), and was nominated for a BAFTA for her work in Whistle Down the Wind, her mother’s adaptation.
