Hirotaka Suzuoki

Hirotaka Suzuoki, a native of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, left an indelible mark on Japanese animation and voice acting. Graduating from Tokyo Keizai University, he lent his resonant voice to an array of iconic characters, from the stoic Tenshinhan in "Dragon Ball" to the duplicitous Saitō Hajime in "Rurouni Kenshin." His versatility spanned franchises like "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Captain Tsubasa," and "Pokémon," as well as Western properties such as "The Transformers," where he voiced Starscream, and provided the official Japanese dub for Tom Cruise. Suzuoki's career, however, was cut short in 2006 when he passed away at 56 due to lung cancer, leaving behind a legacy of enduring voices in anime and beyond.
